Charlotte Hornets announce new jersey patch partner

The Charlotte Hornets announced a new jersey patch partner in an exclusive story with Sports Business Journal.

The new sponsor is Judi Health. It’s a former startup that has exploded into a multi-billion dollar company that aims to reduce medical costs through a more transparent and streamlined claims process. They’re a medical tech company, for all intents and purposes.

Along with the jersey patch, Judi Health will be the presenting sponsor for things like the City uniform unveiling and the Hornets mobile app. That goes along with all sorts of other sponsorship stuff like signage and ads and all that other stuff that we’re all mostly blind to at this point, but good for them and good for the Hornets.

The Hornets didn’t have a jersey patch sponsor for the 2024-25 season after a one year partnership with Feastables, the official chocolate bar of YouTuber Mr Beast. The sponsorship deal came at the height of content creators hyping their own random food/drink brands (like Logan Paul’s Prime drinks), but MrBeast and company pulled the deal after just a season when people found that to maybe not be the most sustainable business model.

You can check out the press release where everyone talks about how great a partnership this is and how well the companies align on their goals and values. It does seem like a good fit, all things considered.
