Hornets partnering with local stations to simulcast games

The Charlotte Hornets announced a partnership between themselves, FanDuel Sports Network, WSOC, TV 64, and Gray Media to simulcast 12 games on local stations over the course of the season.

The season opener was broadcast on WSOC as well, so that’s the 12th game along with the 11 in the table above. TV 64 gets three of the games in the Charlotte market while WSOC gets the rest.

Gray Media will handle the broadcasting for other markets throughout the Carolinas. Games will be simulcast in Columbia, Charleston, Asheville, both Greenvilles, Raleigh, and Wilmington. Pretty much every major market throughout the Carolinas. You can check out the press release for specifics.

It’s really cool seeing the organization make a concerted effort to get their product out to more people in the region. They’ve been very fun to watch so far this season, so catching a few stray eyes from people browsing channels is bound to convert a few fans here and there. And it makes the viewing experience easier for fans that want to watch the game but don’t have and can’t justify spending money to get FanDuel Sports Network.
