The Charlotte Hornets continue to drop news regarding the broadcasts of their games for the upcoming season, and they keep knocking it out of the park. First, the team announced that their local coverage will span all of the Carolinas and even reach into parts of Virginia.

I’m not well versed in local television providers, but the release says that Sinclair will cover Raleigh and Greensboro while Gray will handle Charleston, Columbia, Greenville-New Bern, Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson, Myrtle Beach, and Wilmington. Apparently that’s all of the local TV markets in the Carolinas. Gray will also broadcast games for the Roanoke, VA market, which I’m sure is brimming with Hornets fans chomping at the bit to finally watch their favorite team. You can check the release or the How To Watch section of the Hornets’ site to see what channel you can catch the game on. The games can be watched over the air or if your cable provider broadcasts local channels.

Last month, the Hornets announced that games would be broadcast in the Charlotte area on WSOC and TV64. Now fans all across the Carolinas have that same access, which is a huge step forward for a franchise that has historically neglected the areas outside of the greater Charlotte area (and sometimes neglected the Charlotte area too). And for those who don’t have access to local cable because of cord cutting or what have you, they have access to stream the games on DAZN. It’s never been easier to watch Hornets games in the Carolinas.

One question that astute askers have asked is what would happen to the TV broadcast team since they were technically contract workers that worked for Fox Sports Bally Sports FanDuel Sports Network. Well, that question has been answered.

The players seem excited about it too.

So to some it up, Eric and Dell are back calling Hornets games, and the games can be watched on local TV or on direct streaming across all of North and South Carolina. I don’t think there are any boxes left to check on that side of the house.
