I always get surprised when I see games in Detroit start at 7:00 Eastern because Detroit just doesn’t seem like an eastern time zone city. People forget that Detroit is further east than Atlanta.
Basketball stuff: I hate watching the Hornets play the Pistons. The Pistons like to muck it up and see how many fouls they can get away with. Their style of play gave the Hornets all sorts of fits last year. Hopefully the acquisition of all the veterans will help the Hornets better handle it, but the absence of Knueppel and White will be especially painful against a team that defends as well as Detroit. The Hornets might struggle to dribble the ball.
One thing working in the Hornets favor is that the Pistons are playing the second night of a back to back after going toe to toe and losing to the defending champion Knicks. This is a good letdown spot for them.
That’s all I got for now. Also kudos to Muggsy Bogues for getting his jersey retired. I don’t have time to put up a post for it but I know we’re all hyped for that.
