This game is going to look a lot like the Hornets game against the Celtics on Friday. Neither team is keen on pushing their key players into minutes for a couple of different reasons. The Hornets will clinch the third best lottery odds with a loss. The Cavs don’t have much to gain from this game and are likely going to finish the season as the five seed in the East. With the Hornets motivated to lose and the Cavs motivated to get their stars healthy for the playoffs, there will be a lot of minutes from players that won’t normally get minutes.

Hopefully Brandon Miller gets a half in and is able to drop a few threes to move into second on the all time list for rookie 3-pointers made. Otherwise, there isn’t much to watch for from a Hornets fan perspective. Nick Smith Jr. played well last game. Hopefully he builds on that. Same goes for Tre Mann.

Once this game is done, we’ll be able to turn our attention to the offseason, which should be significantly more fun than this season has been.
