Bough has played this season with the Westchester Knicks in the G League. In 35 games across the tip-off tournament and the regular season, he’s averaged 12.9 points, 7.9 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game. He’s tallied three triple doubles this season.
Baugh will probably find some minutes here and there given how unhealthy the Hornets are and have been all season long. He’ll compete with Elfrid Payton for depth guard minutes. Payton is on a 10 day contract with the Hornets, but he’s only played in one of two possible games so far and was largely ineffective.
The Hornets are clearly chasing an archetype with these back of the roster guard signings. They want players that will defend and orchestrate the offense. They’re seemingly not putting much weight into outside shooting or scoring ability.
