ESPN and the NBA decided to come to their senses and will be airing the second round at the same time and place as the first round. Last year, if you remember, they held the second round in some ESPN studio at 4:00 in the afternoon and really watered down the pomp and circumstance. This year will be better.

The Hornets pick 33rd and 34th, which will be the third and fourth selections made tonight. There are four minutes between picks in the second round (as opposed to five for the first), so it’s going to move a little quicker. The Hornets will probably pick around 8:15-ish.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Hornets are active in the trade market again today after trading Mark Williams yesterday. While there are some enticing players on the board, I don’t know how much room the Hornets have for four rookies in this draft class.
