The much anticipated rematch of Friday night’s showdown between these two Eastern Conference juggernauts. You can read about what happened in that game here and a preview of what to watch for here. The preview for this game is largely an amalgamation of those two posts. Not much has changed in three days.

The previous meeting was competitive but ugly. It was played at a super slow pace and very little flow. It was close for the majority of the game, but the Bulls started to stack a couple of successful possessions together in the fourth quarter and slowly put the game out of reach late.

The Hornets attempted 15 more shots than the Bulls. They surprisingly won the battle on the offensive glass and won the turnover battle. Despite all of that, they still lost by 13. They simply refused to make their shots. The only constant on offense was Miles Bridges, who scored 28 points on 12-of-18 shooting. The rest of the team shot 33.8% from the field. The Bulls shot a better percentage than that from three.

The Hornets need to replicate their wins on the glass and in the turnover battle. They’ll need the extra shot attempts given how much of a struggle it is for them to get their shots to go in. If that happens, they could eek out a win against this Bulls team that is equally bad on the road as the Hornets are at home.
