From what I’ve read on X, the Hornets are in shambles and falling apart at the seams. Everything is just as bad if not worse than it’s ever been. They’ll try to win tonight to move into a tie for the 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Pistons are playing pretty well after a slow first week of the season. They’ve won six of their last ten, but one of those four losses came to these very same Hornets in the very same Spectrum Center. They also haven’t played exactly a murderers row of opponents in that stretch either.

Just like last time, Cade Cunningham is the engine that makes it all go. He got of to a scintillating start in the first meeting between these two teams but kind of disappeared after that. We’ll see if the Pistons go to the Cade post up offense again.

Jaden Ivey has looked more like the player the Pistons thought they were drafting, and the Hornets will have their hands full staying in front of him. Malik Beasley and Tim Hardaway Jr. make a lot of threes. Tobias Harris is still playing.

This game was played extraordinarily evenly the first time around. Let’s see if the Hornets can get a little bit better shooting from outside the arc that will give them a leg up over a Pistons team that isn’t all that great shooting from deep outside of a couple of their vets.
